Clawhammer Banjo Repertoire -- IV with Leela Grace
Come learn some more awesome tunes! This class is for banjo players who have completed Leela's Clawhammer Banjo III (or higher) class or who have strong experience in the clawhammer style (i.e. you can play a variety of tunes at a moderate to fast tempo, can play in several tunings and use a capo to play in different keys, and you have some experience in drop thumbing). You will learn a new selection of awesome old time tunes that have not been taught in Leela's Banjo I, II, III, V, or VI classes. This is your chance to continue to expand your repertoire while challenging yourself to hone your technical skills. The tunes will be taught by ear, but audio/video files and tab will be shared after each class.
The class will meet virtually via Zoom and each session will be recorded. If the live class time doesn't work for you, you can still sign up to receive the audio files, tabs, and the video recording of the full class.
It is suggested that your banjo have a 5th string 'spikes' in the 7th and 9th frets (or a 5th string capo) installed, and that you have a banjo strap, electronic tuner (or app), and banjo capo.
